Modern slavery is an indefensible violation of an individual’s basic human rights. Ortera recognise that we have a moral and social responsibility to take a zero-tolerance stance toward modern slavery in all its forms. We are committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in all our business activities, and to accepting the supply of business services only from companies who share our values.
We undertake due diligence when evaluating prospective suppliers, including:
- Understanding our supply chain and assessing the specific service, product or geographical risks pertaining to modern slavery and human trafficking.
- Evaluating modern slavery and human trafficking risks and insisting our suppliers adhere to our Code of Business Conduct.
- Not entering in to a business relationship with, or terminating our relationship with any supplier who does not meet our terms.
We operate additional policies that support our stance on Modern Slavery:
We encourage our employees to report any concerns relating to unlawful conduct, malpractice, dangers to the public or the environment, and any other matter of a serious nature.
This statement has been issued by the Board of Ortera, and the policies underpinning this statement are reviewed frequently.
